Scoutcraft & Skills
Fire without matches. Eggs cooked in an orange. A 100-year-old canvas tent erected under the clock. Six stations, two rotations, one relay at the end — the classic skills of Scouting, put to the test in the field.
October 9-12, 2026 | Inman Hill, Mendon, MA
Scouting is about the perspective you gain and the people you meet along the way. Join us this holiday weekend as we celebrate 100 years of history, leadership, and service. Whether you're a Scout, an alum, or a local family, come help us keep the campfire burning. Rain or shine, we're making memories.
Main events are Saturday and Sunday, with programming across the full weekend.

This isn't just a schedule of events; it's a four-day journey. From the quiet discipline of morning flag ceremonies to the triumphant chaos of a camp-wide rocket launch, the weekend is carefully designed to forge character, test skills, and celebrate community.
Fire without matches. Eggs cooked in an orange. A 100-year-old canvas tent erected under the clock. Six stations, two rotations, one relay at the end — the classic skills of Scouting, put to the test in the field.
Saturday's station rotations put aerospace in the hands of every patrol. Sunday morning, the whole camp launches solid-fuel rockets together — the payoff for everything built the day before.
Walking in the footsteps of the past. Beyond the woods, Scouts will explore living history with the Mendon Resolves reenactment, navigate with local orienteering clubs, and engage in K9 demonstrations with the local police.
The heart of the weekend. Saturday night is reserved for the centennial campfire: a roar of troop skits, songs, run-ons, and stories shared under the stars. The earlier Scoutmaster Cook-off sets the festive mood.
Campfires only in portable fire pits; subject to Fire Chief approval. See Event Rules.
