Meals during your shift
You’ll be fed while you’re on duty — including Saturday’s turkey dinner if you’re on the kitchen crew or staying through the evening.
Help make Troop 1 Mendon’s 100th a weekend to remember. About fifty of us will run the Gathering — setup, check-in, the kitchen, campfire, first aid, and breakdown. Pick a shift online, or send a short interest form if you’d rather the committee place you.
Volunteers keep the weekend running. In thanks for your time, every volunteer receives:

A centennial shirt so families know who to come to for help — plus the commemorative Gathering patch, same as everyone else on the hill.
The Mendon Centennial Gathering happens once. A few hours of your weekend is how Troop 1 and Pack 1, neighbors, and alumni make it work.
A handful of shifts cover the whole weekend. Take one or several on the shift board — or tell us your availability on the form below and we’ll match you.
Tents, signage, and grounds prep at Inman Hill before guests arrive. Work-party dates earlier in the fall will be announced to everyone on the list.
Greet arrivals, hand out maps, and point people where they need to go.
Saturday turkey dinner is the one provided meal of the weekend. We need several hands on prep and service. Other meals are bring-your-own.
Stage Saturday’s campfire, staff the first-aid tent (medical background welcome), and strike camp Sunday morning so the conservation land goes back as we found it.
The planning committee meets monthly and welcomes new volunteers and community members interested in helping with the centennial event.
